Wow, Biggest Loser has really delivered in the drama department this week. From expulsions to love confessions to broken alliances, it certainly wasn’t a dull week for our 10 contestants.
The week started with a slight hangover… well.. for Luke anyway. Obviously while he was out on his 24-hour house escape he enjoyed the beers at the pub a little too much and thought he’d sneak in a bottle of booze. It’s really such a shame – because I’d honestly picked Luke to be the force to be reckoned with this season. He’s a powerhouse. I bet he is regretting his drinking binge now.
Seriously though – I hope Luke gets some help on the outside. It’s such an opportunity to get selected on that show – to be expelled would be devastating to anyone (particularly someone who could have taken his place!) I have faith in Luke – he’s a strong guy and appears to have learnt already the lessons in weight loss. Now he just needs to give up the booze and he’s on the way to a much healthier and happier life!
While we’re on the topic of leaving the Camp, Bek was the next “ninja” to leave (which I believe was as much as a shock to her as anyone else). Bek, Michelle and Kasey apparently had all discussed putting Selena up for Elimination after the last challenge… however when it came down to the crunch, the team turned on Bek. Can’t wait to see how they all act towards each other at finale… hopefully Bek doesn’t hold a grudge too much.
On the plus side, at least Bek didn’t have to go through a midnight training session with the trainers! She too could have otherwise ended up with a week out bush and copped a nasty leech like Michelle. Ewwwwww. With the White Team out bush, it was Black, Red and Blue (we should just call it Team Hamish) up for this week’s Contest.
Team Hamish was first to fall (thanks to a bit of psyching out by Margie) which left Simon and Margie to battle it out. Red Team won (again) and had the power to take the Walk. The power this week was to take someone out of the following week’s weigh in. So Black and Red made a nice little agreement to take out Simon if he took Temptation (ultimately so Hamish didn’t get Immunity again). This little agreement must have worked the trick because Simon did win Temptation this week and in doing so secured immunity. I wonder though, because he has Immunity – will the Red Team have to choose someone apart from Simon to take out of the weigh-in? hmmm… that could seriously backfire.
On second thought, I think it’s going to backfire anyway…. After the challenge this week it appears the alliance is now broken between red and black… Although Margie doesn’t call it an alliance (LOVED Shannan’s comment – “If it’s a duck and it quacks, it’s normally a duck”).. Bahahahah. In fact while I’m on the topic, Margie has really talked a lot of crap this week.. particularly to Hamish! Who would want to pick on little Hamish? He’s adorable! I found myself cursing the tv last night at Margie’s comments… again – it’s just a game Lara…. Breathe!
Let me just finish off the blog this week in saying I love love!! I love that Hamish and Michelle have both confessed their feelings towards each other this week… and I love that Lisa and Simon have also found something beautiful together. It is the theme of this season after all. Singles looking for love… and it appears the love bug is doing some serious biting at Camp Biggest Loser this year.
Till next week,
Lara xxx
