Lara casts an analytical eye over a Loser week that saw romance blossom between some and tempers fray between others.
Seems like love is in the air at Camp Biggest Loser this week, as we see contestants get closer, with some even revealing who they’re forming close bonds with in the house. *OOooohhhh*
The week started off though with another Weigh-In. Tears fell as Black and Red dropped below the Yellow Line. Both Brenda and Alex stepped up for their teams, and I was shattered to see Brenda leave so early in the game. Margie looked like she was ready launch herself onto Bek!
With the alliance now broken between White and Red, what better way to celebrate then by grouping the two together to form the girls team this week! Feel the love? I don’t think Margie and Bek do. But remember, this is a game after all! I get asked a lot, “what was the hardest thing in the house”… TRUST ME. Weight loss was the easy part…. The game was the worst part.
With a fiery girls team lining up against the boys team in The Contest, I knew some pride and several people’s egos were on the line… not to mention a massive prize at the end… the power of The Walk. I give my superhero award to Michelle for smashing up the bike race and beating Luke in a 10km sprint.
If I were to hand out awards for the weakest link, this week Ryan’s 40kg bar hold would have claimed it. Emma and I in the last season had to hold 90kgs, that’s 50kgs more then what Ryan gave up with. (Yes, I have to give it to him though – he did make up for it later in the week!).
With the girls winning the contest, Lydia was chosen to do The Walk and choose their prize. I have to admit, I was impressed with Lydia’s choice. With this week being all about boys versus girls, what better way to mess the boys up then to mess up their food!
So while the girls played around in the gym for training, the boys played around in the kitchen to create an orange masterpiece… with a little help from Commando. A week of eating orange can’t be fun… which is perhaps why Temptation involved one of Australia’s top chefs this week! Throw in Immunity and a night away with one of the other contestants and you’ve got yourself tough competition.
It seemed like to me that everyone was out to get one competitor: Ryan. Something tells me Ryan is not a popular contestant at Camp Biggest Loser. With egging Hamish on to eat Temptation last week, Ryan was geared up to snatch the spoon and take on Temptation again to secure Immunity this week. I can’t help but seriously wonder - does Ryan actually want Immunity, or is he just after a good feed?
I hope I’m wrong because Ryan, more then anyone, needs to be in the game until the end. At this rate though, I think he’ll be lucky to last another week. Hamish took the Temptation out, eating close to two days worth of food to secure it. (Eeekk! I can see Shannan’s reaction already!) Hamish decided to take the beautiful Michelle to his night away from the camp… *Oooohhhh*…. But fortunately for them the cabin has no hidden cameras? Or so we think..
This week finished off with a beautiful visit from past contestant Sammy (who looks AMAZING might I add!!) and a sand dune hill challenge from hell.
Can’t wait to see who takes it out!
Till next week,
Lara xxxx
