After winning her spot back into the Biggest Loser Singles competition, Bek made her mark as a returning contestant and is certainly known for being one of the most positive contestants yet.
This time around, Bek decided to play her cards a little differently. “My first elimination was a huge blessing in disguise.” She explains. “The time at home made me stronger when I re-entered the house.” Although many would consider having a chance to go home advantageous, her Zen-like approach meant she focused on only good things before coming back into Camp Biggest Loser. “I had the opportunity to refocus, re-charge my batteries and gain strength both physically and emotionally.”
The target of being a returning contestant was too much for some and unfortunately led to Bek’s second elimination from the house. With the only remaining returning contestant, Bek and Brenda stood by each other until the very end. “Luckily second time around I had a wonderful connection with Brenda and we focused on enjoying the experience, eating well, training hard and avoiding the politics. This made the experience amazing.”
“I have learnt that I am naturally positive and loving and that I have an inner strength and determination.”
An ex Ninja from Tiffiny Hall’s Whites, Bek chose to have Shannan Ponton guide her as her Trainer. “The second time at Camp Biggest Loser was perfect – the combination of Brenda, Shannan and I changed me and was like a gift from God.” She described her fond memories of training with Shannan and mentions that “he was and will forever remain an inspiration and mentor to me.”
Bek has become a beacon for success losing an impressive 44kg at the time of leaving Camp Biggest Loser. She exclaims. “There is such a feeling of achievement and pride that comes with the results.” Although the road hasn’t been easy, looking back at her Biggest Loser journey she has made some serious life changes. “The transformation for me has been physically and emotionally so rapid that I find it hard to believe it from time to time.”
Though her competition is over, Bek is looking forward to what may come in the future and isn’t too concerned with regimented goals. “Who knows what the future holds?” Bek laughs. “There are so many wonderful things that I want to do in the future. But for now, my focus is remaining on the successful path of weight loss and following whatever opportunities may arise.”
