When I fell pregnant with my 2nd child (2006) I was adamant that I was going to prove my doctor wrong, the doctor guaranteed that I would end up with gestational diabetes again due to developing it during my 1st preganacy given that I was at high risk due to my family history and my weight. I immediatley started a low carb low fat diet and started walking and lost 15kgs during my pregnancy.
After giving birth I thought I looked amazing and got the urge to loose more so I joined Contours (womens gym) and lost a further 25kg, after a while Contours just wasn't enough for me I wanted more. I moved to the YMCA Raymond Terrace about a two years ago, done a round with Michelle Bridges 12wbt and have continued on my journey and lost another 22kg.
I only have another 3kg to reach goal which is probably going to be the hardest but nothing is going to deter me. I'm so proud of my achievements and I know how much of an inspiration I am to others. Persaverence = results!!
